Where can I find the serial number on the boat's engine?
Can anyone tell me where to find the serial number on a boat motor? I've already checked the entire engine! I can't see any plates or stamped numbers! To be honest, it's starting to annoy me! I have a Suzuki, but I think other brands like Yamaha are similar. I even found information online about boat engine serial number lookup on the GetBoat website. I read that the number should be somewhere on the transom bracket or under the cowling, but all I see there is paint and bolts. Maybe someone who knows about boats with engines can tell me where to look?

Hi! As far as I know, the serial number on a Suzuki is almost always located on a small metal plate on the right side under the mounting bolt. If the engine is old or repainted, the number may be difficult to see. Look on the side, not the top—it's definitely there!
